The Arts Hub at East Harptree is a project conceived of by village volunteers, and makes use of a newly available space in the centre of East Harptree.

The Arts Hub supports two artists in the form of free studio space for a year, and at the same time aims to encourage and facilitate engagement between them and the local community, especially those who would not normally have access to the arts.  The Arts Hub 2024 was funded by the community infrastructure levy money granted by the Parish Council.  The Arts Hub 2025 and 2026 is funded by the Arts Council National Lottery Project Grants and the community infrastructure levy money granted by the East Harptree Parish Council.

Amy Hutchings and Emma Powell are the artists in residence this year from March 2025 - Feb 2026. Keri Green and Louis Neale were the artists in residence in 2024. For information on the exciting community projects they worked on, look at our 2024 projects page here.

Working as Administrator for the first year of the Arts Hub 2024 and securing funding from the Arts Council National Lottery Projects for the 2025-2027 project, I’m delighted to be continuing this chapter with East Harptree Arts Hub, it’s artists, and it’s vibrant community.

With over 10 years experience in arts, community outreach, and social enterprise, I developed my interest in art and art practices through 7 years managing art galleries and previous academic expertise (BA SOAS, MA Sotheby’s Institute). I further added a passion for social enterprise and community outreach while co-owning and managing Cakes and Ladders, a board game cafe on a double decker bus, which also supported community wellbeing. Since moving to Pensford three years ago, I have become committed to supporting community initiatives.
