Meet the Artists
Year 3: 2026-2027

Jasmine Smail

Jasmine Smail is a multidisciplinary artist working mostly in sculpture and drawing. Her practice explores childhood, nostalgia, storytelling and play through objects and the memories they hold. She loves the tactile nature of sculpture, particularly papier mache.

Jasmine finds joy in holding and making with your hands, using materials that have a nature you often can’t fully control resulting in wobbly, larger than life objects. She represents the playthings of her imagination and past connecting us in a collective remembering or reimagining.

Participation, community and connection are integral parts of Jasmine's practice and is part of the artist collective Comfy Club as well as co-founding the artist community space Container 22. She has also led workshops encouraging play, storytelling and joy for all ages across the Southwest including the galleries, Spike Island, Hauser and Wirth and Arnolfini.

Ali Brown

Artist & Creative Mentor
Ali creates colourful Found Wisdom Collages on paper and inked wood, inspired by seasons, cycles and Human Design. Her work celebrates the quiet but powerful everyday things we often overlook, offering gentle reminders to reconnect with your creativity, your rhythm and your self-trust.

Alongside her art practice, Ali works as a Creative Mentor, weaving together coaching tools and creative processes to help people reconnect with their innate creativity. Through workshops, community projects and creative wellbeing sessions, she creates welcoming spaces where people can slow down, explore and rediscover their creative voice.
